Pokemon GO! Captcha stuck in a loop!

I finally bit the bullet and got a decent smartphone with a data plan! Wooo! So of course my little boy wants to try Pokemon GO! I've literally run the game less than 10 minutes, basically walked 100 feet, and I'm being bombarded by the Captcha pop up. After answering 1, and then 20 steps later answering 4 in a row, I just gave up. My little boy was crushed, having waited so long and being thwarted by this ridiculous anti-hack. Can anyone tell me what would be triggering this, and how I can work around it?

That is a security system put in place by Niantic to thwart bots and GPS spoof apps. Either you are running one and trying to get us to get it working for you or something on your phone is making Pokemon Go think you are running one. I'm going to hope it's the second one and ask if you have any kind of apps installed that could be using your GPS without you knowing it or maybe the GPS in your phone is just not working right. What have you tried to fix it so far? Clear cache? Factory reset?

I've never seen a captcha popup ever when I play Pokemon Go. Are you using the official released version in the Play store?

Hello @HeavyArmor77, did you download the Pokémon Go game from the Google Play store? I know some people downloaded .APK files from various websites since the game had not been released for their country yet.

I have never seen any sort of pop up while playing. No adverts of any kind either. Maybe try playing the game on Wi-Fi and see if you still get the messages. If they don't appear, then it could be your carrier's data plan causing the problem.
