My thoughts exactly. I use it all the time and it works great.
I use my browser for a lot of stuff that people have created apps for to just replace the browser.

Is it illegal to use these apps?

What is the benefit of using this app? Helps better evade police pursuit? :)

It's the same as a police scanner you can get in a radio shack or something. Some people just like listening in, doesn't have to be anything bad.

hey tried this on my phone, no luck how do you start it?

Excellent. Works like a charm! Just open your browser and type m.radioreference.com then choose the stream you'd like (for example United States, California, Los Angeles County, Los Angeles Police, Van Nuys, Valley Traffic and Tacticals then choose an app you'd like to play the stream in. You'll need an app like Cherry rplayer, DroidLive Lite or Music then enjoy the stream and hope you don't hear your address or your licence plate read out :D
