I know a lot of people liked it (obviously I didn't), but this looks like a Zen watch that should be on Weight Watchers. And the interface just feels like Java and Symbian had a kid in the 90's, got frozen, and was just woken up 20 years later.

Hard to tell--in the photos, it looks bulky, but in the video, it looks ok in action. It looks better than the original plastic Pebble, but the Pebble Steel still looks much better overall. It just reminds me of every other fitness watch. Hopefully they come out with a Pebble Steel Time soon.

Not sure what to make of the Timeline interface. I'm not sure if that would be very helpful for me.

Definitely not a fashion watch but backers don't seem to mind. It does look better than the original Pebble.

$3.5 million pledged so far.

I thought the apple watch looked like a child's toy, but this takes the cake. That being said, love the battery life claims, but will wait to see one in store before buying any smart watch.

I think it's rather ugly, but it's raised over $7M in less than a day, so they're clearly doing something people like.

The Apple Watch doesn't look that great on its own, but on a wrist it looks decent. The Moto 360 looks great on its own, but looks a little big on most people's wrists.

I'm not a huge fan of square watches, and the apple watch just looks like a toy compared to the 360 and LG's offerings

I'm not either, just saying that it looks better on the wrist than on its own. The only Android Wear watch I like the looks of is the 360, but the size is off putting.

Let's remember that the original plastic Pebble also looks a bit like a toy. As I mentioned before, what I hope to see is a followup Pebble Steel Time, which could potentially look friggin' awesome, considering how the Pebble Steel compares with the Pebble.

LOL... While I personally like my original Pebble and have already backed the Pebble Time on Kickstarter I can still find the humor in this statement. Two thumbs up for tech levity, sir! :) haha.

As far as the looks go... eh, it's not going to win any beauty contests, but its passable (ok, enough) to me. Then again, I am a bit of a smartwatch nut and have been for years, so I may not be the most unbiased opinion either :) .

Hideous. But they shouldn't feel bad -I think ALL "smart watches" look hideous so far (especially Apple's). I find it difficult to believe, with all the intelligent, creative, enterprising industrial designers out there, that all we've seen so far are a bunch of clunky sub-screens with plastic bands.

Samsung have at least tried to curve theirs (questionable necessity), and Apple seem to want to hit the luxury market with premium materials, but let's face it -it looks like a flippin' pill caddy with a doorknob on it

I'm just not impressed with any of these devices yet :-/

I"m a minimalists and the simple lines is one of the things that attracted me to Pebble in the first place. If I'd wanted whistles and bells Id have gone with Samsung. I like the look of the Time - still simple. Addition of a color screen and minimum voice interface is within my limits of complication. I have to see it works to know how well I like Timeline. Several of these posts imply that they poster has a watch. Are they out yet? I thought they were coming in May? I will probably buy one if it doesn't have some glaring issue. Colors are fine, I usually go subdued anyway. A dark gunmetal grey would be nice but black works.

Hideous. I have the regular one and find it not bad, but images of the new one just look awful imo. Surely it's got to look better in person. I took a chance and ordered but cancelled it a moment ago.

I like them. They look like they can be worn with jeans or a suit. It's not fancy fancy but it's wearable for all occasions
