Poor angry birds performance

Hello every one. I've had my Optimus V for about a week now, and i love it. It's a much better device over all than the intercept and a steal for 150$. How ever i've been having issues with angry birds performance. In general the game plays fine, but when it gets to later levels it can slow down to a crawl. This is especially evident on the 21st level of the game. When i launch the blue birds and hit a bunch of wood and ice breaks the game slows down alot. This is frustrating as reviews and other comments suggest that the game should work flawlessly. Is this poor performance on this level normal? or is there something wrong with my device?

Im using the custom recovery for the V, and am running mostly stock using the nandroid back up provided by takehull in his post. Thanks for any suggestions

I'm curious on this too. Seasons has a hard time playing recently. There shouldn't be any lag according to hardware specs on the phone.

Possible Bug ?

There is a touchscreen bug with the optimus one that drastically increases cpu use when touching it. I am not 100% sure if this is the issue effecting the performance of angry birds, but there is a "dirty fix" on xda developers site.

I am a n00b so I will have to defer to the more knowledgeable of our group to see if this is true, and if we are able to flash P500 kernels on our phone.

A brief article at xda about bug.

A Youtube video before and after on optimus one.

I see, guess it's just a bug on our devices, hopefully a dev can implement this in a kernel for the V. Good to know its not just my device at least?

I've noticed the slowdown as well.

The first bunch of levels ran smoothly as could be. Then I got to about halfway through the first screen of levels (probably level 21 as BMW stated) and noticed it.

It's probably due to a large number of objects on the screen. The game has to determine the physics on all of those objects so all that processing could be slowing it down. Just a theory though.

Oh well, it still runs amazingly well compared to the Motorola Cliq I used to own, so I'm not complaining.

I believe this does affect our phones, if you run SetCPU and just touch the screen the CPU kicks to max speed, implying that usage is spiking at 100% on touchscreen usage.

My question is can we apply this fix to our phones or do we have to wait for a specific patch for the V.
