Hello all. I am sure this is in the discussions already somewhere, but I wanted to post this again just to let people know what I have found out. On GB I could get 2 days plus out of my extended battery and easily a full day out of the standard. Got the OTA ICS update on thursday morning. Installed fine over wifi, took about 10 minutes to download, and 10 minutes to install. restarted and everything looked good. took it off the charger (this is with the standard batt) and literally it would go down 10% every 20 minutes. i would have gotten 5 hours at best out of it. did some research and found out a FDR would fix it. did so and left stock without any aftermarket apps and still horrible battery. decided to try the extended and would get barely 12 hours.did some more research and learned that i can disable stock apps (this is my first ICS phone so wasn't aware of that new feature) disabled or uninstalled everything possible to free up every bit of memory possible. still horrible battery life. did some more research and found out that looking at my battery stats, myself and many others having the poor battery issue since the OTA of ICS was an issue with the "Android OS" under the stats was taking 50, 60, upwards of 80% of the battery. usually every android device i ever saw had the display always first and the OS 2nd or 3rd. decided maybe a had a bad install after the first FDR. proceeded to do it 2 more times with no change. did some more research and found out an issue with installing ICS over a current install of apps. A lot of the installs were taylored for GB and won't work well with ICS. when doing the 3 initial FDR's I had chosen for google to restore my apps and app settings. during the last bit of research it was suggested to not chose to have google restore the apps and app settings (yes this will require manual download of my apps again, but only have a dozen or so) and also a lot of my phone settings as well. well it only took me a little less than a half an hour to do a full FDR/manual app install, and I think this was the trick. the apps installed so much quicker, the bionic is now running like a champ. as far as the battery and the android os battery usage, i looked up the battery stats again, and the OS is down to 13% and display is back up top. I again am sorry if this was already discussed numerous times, but I wanted to post this for us noobs who need all the help they can get. thanks all.
