Poor data in fringe areas and buildings.

I read a story about 8s reception and it's better than 6 and 7 and the older two are lacking in good modems.
I have the 5 and it's always low bars and bearly works at work.
Only Verizon works decent and I found other Verizon Co workers and their speed is ok or really good. So it must be the phone.
Would the 8 be a improvement? Or should I switch to a Galaxy? I like Pixel price point and lack of bloat. But I will switch if I have to.
