Pop accounts

Totally new to Android - yes I searched...... attempting to set up my POP account and get all the way to Outgoing mail server settings and the NEXT pad does nothing.....I tried re entering all the info, starting completely over - to no avail.
Am I missing something here?

Haven't set up many pop accounts as I prefer IMAP, but suggest one thing you may be missing is patience... let it sit there for a while as it tries to connect to your pop account.

Got it.
The outgoing smtp field was the problem. What I have on my mac mail account field had to be truncated - not sure why but it then enabled the next button.
And then it was just a matter of waiting overnight and voila! I have emails coming out my ears.

Patience is good - I know I sure expect instantaneous since that is how it works most of the time.

All baby steps for me - thanks for your help!
