Pop up ads

Anybody get pop up ads, wanting you to install a program
Or a pop up ad wanting you to install a game.
Right when you are on your S8+ phone tryng to do somethng.

I tried and tried to find out what the problem was.
Went to Verizon and they couldn't find it.
Said its probably a Virus program or App.

Googled it on the computer,
Seems a lot of people have been having the problem.

Had a app called FLV video player..

Took off FLV Player app 2 weeks ago.

Haven't had another ad trying to get me to install a program or game since.

Thought I would share this info for anybody having the problem.

well it is specified on the app's page that it contains ads, people complain about pop-up ads in the reviews section and the app asks for unreasonable permissions a video player does no need such as :

Device & app history
retrieve running apps
read your Web bookmarks and history
Location
approximate location (network-based)
precise location (GPS and network-based).


and its free.


all pretty obvious warning sings if you care to notice them.

Yep. Me too. Flv player was loading pop up adds (some for apps I already have) and wanting me to go to the app store, when my phone was signaling a full charge on the charger. Deleted FLV player and that was it. Fixed.
