Popup saying my phone is infected with 4 viruses

Yesterday I started receiving a popup saying that my phone is infected with 4 viruses bc of visiting adult sites. I'm not sure what kind of adult sites it's talking about! I've not been a visitor af any of 'those' adult sites. If that's what it means Nevertheless it says from Google. I'm not so sure. At the same time, I don't want my phone infected. Tia for your help please.

Very frustrating, isn't it? Do you see this while you're using the browser, or does it pop up in other places (like when you're using other apps, or at the phone's homescreen)?

Ah, then it sounds like something you can safely ignore. They're trying to scare you into thinking that your phone is infected. I'm guessing it also tells you to install and run an app (or click on a button so they can disinfect your system).

To be safe, however, you could run Malwarebytes and see if it finds anything suspicious: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.malwarebytes.antimalware
