Porting some Note II applications to my S3

So, my friend got his Note II yesterday, and straightaway we saw a bunch of differences between the Jelly Bean versions, S Memo is now S Note, the Gallery is way Slicker, Paper Artist (similar to Paper Camera), Quick Glance (where you can use your palm to wake up the screen to check for notifications)...

Of course, we straight away started copying files across to the S3, Paper Artist installed with no issues, however S Note and the Gallery, would not port over...

How come the S3 version of Jelly Bean is so different , especially as it is just software and camera trickery... Leads me to believe that the Polish JB ROM, can't be the final version....

think note2 uses different chips from any of the s3 versions.... could be wrong..

Hey funkylogik,

Yes, I am running the Polish ROM, have from the first day is came out.... It runs really well... Yes the Note 2 is different hardware, but i should be able to port, I would have thought...

Let me know if you hear of anyone trying something similar on the grapevine...

You do realize that the gallery app and the s memo are baked into sense right? They more than likely need some supporting files to be able to run on touchwiz. Someone will port them if possible. Check the dark side

Idk about Poland but I'm pretty sure they've gotten a couple of these to work on American roms. The galaxy s3 is quite capable
