Portrait orientation question

I was able to nab Swiftkey X when it was a free app of the day on Amazon and so far I really like it. The only thing that bothers me is when I compose a txt message in portrait orientation, I get a "done" button which I have to press to go to another screen to hit "send" to actually send the message. The native keyboard does not do this. I have accidentally saved drafts of messages instead of sending them because I have forgotten to hit send after hitting done. Is there a way around this? Thanks in advance and sorry if this issue has already been addressed. I did a search first, but did not find anything.

I only get the done button in landscape and I do jot have to hit send after hitting done. Does it have to do with your sms app?
