I'd love to switch to Android, but refuse to do so until a Android is available as a portrait slider (Pre lover). Does anyone have any ideas why nobody has released something in this form factor yet? It seems it would be any easy way to win over Palm and Blackberry users.

Not a fan of slyders but the way android is releasing phones its only a matter of time before you see something like that.

It just doesn't seem to be what sells these days. Which is a shame, I think. I love portrait sliders. Landscape keyboards just seem so inefficient. Like everything is a huge stretch. I even prefer a virtual keyboard to a landscape slider.

That make two of us... I love vertical slider, not so much for landscape. I'm getting use to using virtual keyboard now.

I thought the android version didn't have a keyboard to differentiate it from the wp7 version who knows as long as they upgrade the internals it will be great

I thought the Droid Pro was gunna be a slider. I could swear there were pics of a Droid slider. So maybe there's one on the way.

Looks to be more of what the Droid pro morphed into if you got rid of the slider you would have expected the Droid pro

The UI in that pic must be Blur, huh? That sux. Wonder how many more Google experience phones will be coming in January.

It's rumored that T-Mobile is coming out with a high powered Sidekick device running Android in 2011. The Sidekick's have the best 5 row keyboard of any phone IMO.
