Phone's current state:

when it boots it shows a graphic of a Phone on the left and a PC on the right with an exclamation mark in the middle

Past history:

I had DJ01 rooted. I recently went back to a stock DJ01 to get the OTA update. I did the OTA and I wanted to get the Supah Clean ROM.

I rooted DJ09 using the One click Root tutorial and everything was fine. I downloaded Titanium Backup again and ran my backups.

Next step was CWM. I installed ROM Manager from the Market, and launched ROM Manager. This is where I think I went wrong. I forgot to do the CWMrecovery.tar flash using Odin in the first step. (I did not RTFM close enough and I missed that step.) It said CWM was installed in ROM Manager so I thought everything was fine. I rebooted into Recovery Mode and it failed. I then took out the battery and rebooted the phone and now I get the error message with the phone and the PC and the exclamation mark every time I boot the phone. The only way I don't get that message is if I boot to Download mode, but every thing I try and flash in Odin fails.

Things I have tried since:
Boot to Download mode and Flash CWMrecovery.tar - Failed

Boot to Download mode and Flash CWMRecovery_DJ05_DL09.tar.md5 - Failed

Boot to Download mode and Flash to DJ01 stock - Failed

Boot to Download mode and Flash to DJ09 stock - Failed

I realize I n00bed out on not following the instructions. Usually I do, so it is fitting that it bites me in the rear this time. I've searched through the forums for the last few hours and have tried everything I could think of to bring it back to life. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

side question: what server and channel are you guys on in IRC? search failed me there as well. I heart Mondays.

Let me ask you this, when you tried to flash odin, did you pull out the battery? if not leave the battery out put it in download mode by plugging it it in and pressing down button also change USB ports... then try again

You are correct again Mr. DroidXcon. I remember reading that about the battery too but I wasn't able to get the phone to turn on but apparently I was not patient enough.

Thanks again for your help! :D
