Possible improvement for dropping lte connection

I'm sure some people in LTE areas have noticed that the E4GLTE seems to easily drop from 4G to 3G, even when LTE data seems to be working fine. It sounds like the thresholds it uses to decide when to drop back down to 3G are a bit high. I would certainly rather have 2 bars of lte than 4 bars of 3G.

Someone on another forum posted a suggestions to use the Elixir 2 app to reach a menu that you can't get to from the normal settings menu. In Elixir 2, go to Information, Click "Telephony" -> Turn WiMax (4G) On and change the preferred network type to "LTE, CDMA" (I believe the default was CDMA + LTE/EvDo auto)

Hopefully it's not just a placebo effect, but I seem to be able to hold onto a 4G signal much better. It doesn't seem to drop down to 3G until I actually lose my 4G bars. I still have to force it to pick up the 4G signal like before (I simply switch out of LTE, CDMA and back into it) - but it'll hold on as long as there is even a weak signal.

Anyone else tried this? See any improved results?

EDIT: Added missing click in Elixir instructions....
