Possible launch date for Sprint's version - preliminary pricing inside!

The $399 price is ok, but it'll depend on the monthly plan cost that will be the deciding factor for me. If it is < $50 then I'll go for it, but not if it's more.

The monthly data plan with the Tab is Sprint's chance to shove it to AT&T and Apple's current rates for new customers with the iPad 3G. Hopefully they take it. Tab looks like a great device in the recent videos I've seen.

I dont know. They have to price it lower than their competitors. I was all for it because it will give me another android device beside my phone. Especially when i am considering getting an ipad for my son. But The price and plan will make my final decision especially when the ipod touch only cost $299 compared to a galaxy pad will cost me around $399 plus monthly fees.

Personally $399 is too high for me, even a $20/m plan brings the final price to $879. And while that is in line with the ipad there's a reason I don't own an ipad either, these products don't provide enough value to justify $800+ price tags for me.

Sprint's 3g speeds are so poor on the Epic - they'd have to PAY ME to use this! Wait for a wifi priced model and tether via 4G or use on local wifi networks only. Stay very far away from a 3g only contracted Tab on Sprint- with speeds as slow as theirs any plan over $10 a month would be a crime.

I want one but don't want monthly service on it. Does anyone know if they will have a tab with wifi only?

This is an iPad "me too" product. Me too products have to significantly undercut the original to be viable.

I was told by a Sprint rep (which means nothing now a days lol) that they might charge $59.99 for monthly data. I looked at him, and laughed... There is now way people would jump on that IMO.
