Possible to use two keyboards?

I've got swype and I love it. Makes my verticle typing very fast; however, I don't like using it when in landscape mode. Is it possible to make it so my stock keyboard is defaulted when in landscape and swype is defaulted for verticle without having to select keyboard type each time?

I do not believe that is possible You would have to enable which keyboard you wanted to use each time

The fastest way to switch would be when you go landscape, long press in the text field and select input method, then select your desired keyboard, so far as I know...

There is a way, but you have to be rooted. It is a little buggy (keyboards don't always pop up instantly like you want them to, doesn't always work first time on reboots) but I don't have a use for Swype in landscape.

There's an app called Keyboard Manager that will do exactly what you want automatically. If I remember correctly though you have to be rooted to install the app.

I was also looking to do this but I searched the market for Keyboard manager and there was no app with that name.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't rooted yet so I guess that's just one more thing making me want to root sooner.

if you use the ultra keyboard it has tracing so its like swype and you can still use it as a regular keyboard that doesnt have swype

You can enable as many keyboards as you want and then long press on the text field you are using at the time to select between them. I do it all the time.
