Possibly not as interested anymore

Yes the battery life on the n4 is that bad. I can't go a full day without having to charge mine. I too worry about this and will be waiting for reviews of the battery before I jump on it.

I also decided to pass on the Nexus 5 and went with the Note 3. I made the mistake last year in giving up my Note 2 to get the Nexus 4. Not saying that the Nexus 4 was a disappointment or that the N5 will be. But I do remember regretting get that I gave up the Note 2 because it was a better phone. It had a larger screen, bigger battery, more accessories available, LTE, micro SD card slot, better processor, better camera, and of course, the S-pen. This year, I see that there are many of the same differences with the exception of the processor and and LTE. I know that price factors in. If you are looking at getting an inexpensive smartphone, the Nexus is the best of the bunch. But the Note 3 is simply better in my opinion.

It's not better, it's only better for people who note phones appeal to. They both have different target audiences.

Battery life, during a work day, on my Galaxy Nexus is typically so-so but that's mainly due to cell reception in our building. Nothing that keeps me from getting through a day, however.

In outside-of-work use, it's been pretty solid. Definitely looking forward to the N5 whenever it arrives, though. If battery life turns out to be "that bad," I've got desk/car chargers that can be put to good use.

Well my wife pretty much threw in the towel and got an iPhone(her very first one ever) because it was taking to long for this to come out. Now some people or second guessing because the battery will not be as large as they thought. Seems that the old adage applies that sometimes to much hype can erode sales as the hype can't realistically be met.

Luckily battery life is the least important thing to me, since I'm in a vehicle all day. I also have a Seido battery pack thats pretty small, so that takes care of the times away from a charge. I'm still all in.

Also the Snapdragon 800 is more efficient than the 600...we will have to see what that amounts to. I have not had a problem with my GN battery even after 2 years. I never got around to even buying a spare(battery)...

"According to my use preferences" would've been a more accurate choice of words in that case

Does it matter? If I believe its better, then its what I believe. I don't understand your concern.
