I have not taken any photos with mine. It seems like it does not know where to focus. Kind of out of focus.

No issues here and I tap the screen for it to focus on where I want it to.

For some reason I can't post pictures but I have a really good one of my dog in low lighting.. I'm using ics camera + for the camera and it is extremely better than stock. I have tested camera zoom camera 360 and ics camera plus as well as stock camera did same photo each one and ics outshines them all I highly recommend everyone downloads it

Thanks. My little Irish setter Cassie. I thought the photo was pretty decent. I'm not expecting amazing shots especially coming from the s3 but its suitable and a lot better once utilized with ics camera + app

I took some pictures on my run today. I tried taking the same picture with Camera360, Camera ICS, and Stock (normal and HDR). I couldn't really tell the difference between stock and Camera ICS. Camera360 seemed to produce slightly better images to my untrained eye, but my guess is because they were ever so slightly dimmer. (I was in bright sunlight) HDR seemed to bring out a bit more detail, at least at full resolution, but they seemed unnatural.

Here's one of the images Stock:

The camera on the Razr M seems worse than the camera on my 2+ year old HTC Incredible, which sucks cause I really like everything else about this phone.

I feel like i have the exact same problem... still trying to decide which 3rd party camera gives me the best results. Like Camera360, hate that i cannot turn off the camera click though!

This morning I did some fishing, and brought my old Incredible and my Razr M to do some camera comparison.

Incredible:

I didn't resize or enhance these, I just cropped out an 800x600 portion. The difference is pretty striking. For close shots, it's not as noticeable, but still. I love everything else about the phone, but this might be a show stopper for my use. I like taking landscape shots and using them for the background on my PC. I'm just not able to do this with the Razr M.

Here's the full image for each, resized.

This thread (especially mrbowlman's post) has turned me away from this otherwise great phone. I have an infant son of whom I love to take pictures. This just won't cut it for me.

I am loving this phone. The camera isn't a huge concern for me as I only occasionally take snapshots with my phone - I have a good quality point-and-shoot and a DSLR that take far better photos than any phone camera. However, it would be nice if the occasional photos I do take with the phone are at least decent.

I tried both the stock camera app and camera 360 (free version). I deliberately took an indoor, all artificial lighting photo to compare as that seems to be where the biggest complaints have been.

The first is the stock camera, the second is the Camera360 app. For my needs, the Camera360 app makes this camera OK. Hopefully, when they update the software, the stock camera app will be improved.

If you're that concerned, buy one and try it extensively in the 14-day return window. Honestly, the camera nonsense is completely overblown with this phone. My wife's original DInc didn't take a single good photo in over two years. The M has a much better, faster, more responsive camera than the DInc ever did.

I went ahead and traded the Razr M for a GS3. I wouldn't have upgraded from my Incredible to the GS3. The size of the Razr M is what got me to pull the trigger on an upgrade. But I can't live with that camera for 2 years. So I was pretty much forced to a GS3.

Other than the camera, the Razr M was pretty awesome, and would've been my perfect phone. Hopefully in 2 years, Motorola will still have a phone in this size, and they will have put some effort into the camera.

Looks to be the same camera as my Bionic. Sort of disappointed but since I'm used to it, it won't be a dealbreaker. Please post more indoor/low-light shots when you guys can. Thanks!

Took this one with pudding camera. No lights on in bedroom. Only thing colorful I can think of shooting. Was impressed
