I have a question about signal strength and speeds on Rezound. I've noticed that mine has 1-3 bars (mostly only 2) and and signal strength -78-95 (both on 3g and LTE) while with my Original DROID had 2-4 bars (mosly 3).
I;ve never dropped calls and Speed test shows uploads 1812.0 kb/s on LTE and 227.1 on 3G Are these acceptable? I live in Tampa bay area

The signal strength seems good. Look at the Nexus problems, bars mean nothing. I could make calls/texts with my Nexus with zero bars and no 3g indicator.

Your LTE upload seems a little slow, but I'd imagine Tampa is a pretty heavy LTE market.

Try running again during off-peak hours. What are you download speeds like?

Correction from previous post Download speeds: 14.50 Mbps on LTE and 2.26 on 3G.
Upload speeds about 5.0 mbps on LTE in house and 15.79 outside. 0.91 mbps on 3g. I also thought that in Tampa reception should be top notch. When I comparing signal strength with VZ store display model it shows -75 dBm while mine shows -85. (though when you move both phones they sometimes show similar readings.) Is this something worth to be concern about radio quality? Anybody here from Tampa area?

No, there is nothing wrong w/ the numbers you are showing. There really is alot of confusion on this and it is alot more complex than I ever thought it was til recently. Here's the thing, any phone can be layed out side by side, displaying different numbers in the same location and be 100% accurate. Alot of people see that type of discrepancy and aomatically assume it's gotta be the radios signal.
Which you shouldn't do unless you know exactly which tower it's communicating with and the direction of that tower, where it's being routed through at the time, radio interference, among a slew of other factors. When you speak of bars on your phone, that has to do more w/ the strength of voice service on LTE, not the transference of data directly on your phone. There's a neat little, realtime, signal mapping tool in the market that can really help show you what's going on w/ your phones connectivity if your trying to troubleshoot a possible issue. It's a free app called Open Signal Mapping, it's aided me tremendously in my coverage area. I wouldn't boot my phone up w/out it. I've made a friend for life with it. It does use juice cuz it's mapping in realtime, so I wouldn't run it w/out a spare battery or, even better, the ext. battery. Trust me, you won't regret the extra bulk of the ext. battery if you have this app at your disposal. This is worth the extra heft of the batt. alone. It's free but my cheap arse would pay $$$, if it wasn't.

I can't be more happier than this Rezound. I've owned several smart phones and thus far this is the best one yet. I actually had the GN for a week and being a big internet user the radio just didn't cut it for me. I never saw signal strength below - 92 dBm and most time to stayed well above - 100 dBm here are what I'm getting with my Rezound.
