Post Your Theme!!

You can also make them into theme chooser files compatible with theme chooser on cm7 roms.

Re: Blue Martian Theme

maybe it would be fun to turn this thread into a "post your themes" thread ala a thread they have at androidforums.

i have a couple that i could brew up as well. imo, kitchen themes generally don't compare with some of the custom themes i've seen at XDA, but it's still fun to make and customize themes to your liking. :)

Edit the title of the thread... or did you do it already

Looks like he already did it. I'd say change the title to "Post your Theme!" and then have the OP be about your theme.

Then list some guidelines for posting your own theme, IE: ROM Version, ROM Build Number (If it's a flashable zip), as well as a warning saying make sure that if your theme is a flashable zip, you only flash the one made for your ROM, and Build #.

Flashing a theme made in the UOT Kitchen WILL CAUSE BOOT LOOPS if not made specifically for your ROM. For example, if I upload my SystemUI and framework-res from Jerry's latest Backside, and someone tries to flash it on an older version of backside, or a different IHO flavor such as Mirage, their SystemUI and Framework-res will get replaced by the new ones. This is what a flashable zip does. If they don't have the correct SystemUI and Framework-res, they will get boot loops, or the phone won't work correctly (The status bar will disappear or something similar). Just a precaution.

Here's mine, all I did was do some cool transparency to the status bar. I used the cyanogen background to show how the transparency works (the status bar fades from transparent to black so the icons are visible against all backgrounds). Also I modded the stock launcher too to have the dock transparent, and I replaced all the wallpapers.

Here's the launcher for anyone that wants the stock launcher with some slight changes
Run this in terminal emulator, after placing it on your phones sdcard
Code:
su
mount -o remount,rw /system /system
cp /sdcard/Launcher2.apk /system/app
mount -o remount,ro /system /system

good stuff folks. i'll try to dig up the old themes i used to make. i still have the values saved somewhere but i would need to create them again for the new builds. :)

Here is my current. They are all on my V, despite the different phones they are presented in.
