Anyone use it? With the settings menu so conveniently located in the notification bar do you really need it?

I use a notification widget so I can change brightness or put it in airplane mode, mostly.

I didnt realize it had that there hah!

So I tapped it, and my phone froze and rebooted.

okay... take two.....

... okay worked that time.

Yeah, I will still use the power control widget. Its still slightly quicker for me to slide one home screen over and tap on what I need to power on/off.

I use it just because its easier to get to my most used functions. Especially brightness and and GPS, which are a pain to get to otherwise.

I use switch pro widget so I can get free wifi tethering.

Easier for me to swipe across the bottom of the big screen than to reach up to the top of the big screen to pull down the drawer and tap the settings key.

I had a power control widget that lived in the drop down notification bar, and I cannot remember the name of the app. Anyone know what I am taking about?

I like it for airplane mode, brightness adjustments and wifi on/off.

Thanks in advance.

are you all referring to a stock widget or one from the app store? There are quite a few..

Where is the Power Control Widget withing the Settings app? (I must have "front of the shelf paralysis lol")

Long press on your homescreen .. look for widgets .. list of available widgets are in there

There isn't a unified Power Control within the Settings app, but the Settings app allows you to control all of the things that you can toggle with Power Control (Wifi On/Off and Bluetooth On/Off are the first two things in Settings, and elsewhere you can toggle location services, screen brightness, etc.)

I don't get a widget option when long pressing the home screen in ICS, you do?
