I noticed things were slowing down. I did some speedtests over the past few days and I was getting from .3mbps to .8, whereas I was normally getting between 4 to 12 pretty regularly, with occasional bursts to 20 - 35. So I called VZ and the guy had me power down and remove the SIM card for 4 minutes. This restored my speed to its normal parameters.

When he called back, I asked why this would be. He said that he didn't have a real answer but that they recommended powering down periodically.

So, if you find 4g slowing down, you might try this. And you might want to power down every couple of days. Still don't know why this would help, but, there ya go...

Regardless, this is what I do.. Every night I plug in the phone to charger then shut it down for the night. Fresh phone every morning!

I try to turn the phone off every once in awhile to give it a break, just like I do for my computer.

I always turn my phone off while I'm charging it. Its usually at night while I sleep, so its not like I'm missing much.
