Power Saver?

Been drivin me nuts trying to find it all day! So I'm on the phone with an HTC rep right now and he didn't know it wasn't on the verizon version, and I'm on hold right now as he checks it out.
Yup, he just confirmed it (and he was in total disbelief). No power saver mode on the Verizon version. Said it would've been verizon's decision. Makes absolutely no Sense! (no pun intended hehehe)
Really disappointed, because every review I read hyped that mode. Guess we'll have to find some 3rd party app to do it instead!!

I used this on my DNA running Sense 5 and loved it! Sigh.
One curious thing I have noticed though, is that this phone doesn't seem to suffer from the slow charging that has been normally associated with this device. I have it plugged into a USB 2.0 port (because I just finished rooting it) and I noticed my battery percentage is going up pretty quickly. It isn't a scientific test by any means but just my quick observation.
Did it accidentally get left out of 4.2.2? Or is this Verizon purposely shortening battery life so they can sell Droid Maxx's?
To my belief with Verizon being such money hogs, they took out the powersaver mode so they can sell their "battery packs"

I was reading through the One manual and came across a lot of things I noticed my phone doesn't have, besides power saver mode. No FM transmitter. No HTC backup. I'm sure there's more. I just chatted with a Verizon rep about this, who of course, says it is the manufacturer's decision about what features are included in a phone's release to carriers. I guess just bombard Verizon and HTC support with requests to include these features and maybe they will release an update?
Just for kicks, and to see if I'd get a meaningful response, I went onto HTC's website and submitted a support request asking why the Power Saver mode does not exist on the Verizon version. I also said that Verizon had told me that you (HTC) had removed it.
This was the response I got (within about 10 minutes, no less...):
"I understand that you would like to know why the HTC One does not have the Power Saving option and I would be more than happy to address this with you!
The option does exist on the device; however, the features of this option have been moved into the base operating system on the device. Put another way, the device still does have a Power Saving option but this option is no longer a feature that can be toggled as it is now part of the system by default!"
So ... not sure why/how it would have been moved into the OS on Verizon but not on any of the other carriers, but you're welcome to submit a support ticket to HTC and see if they can provide some more details. It sounds like based on other people's comments that it's working pretty well for them with the actual menu option.
I myself can't validate this yet ... I ordered my One yesterday and should get it Wednesday, so we'll see how well it does for me then.

Integrating power saving is what crippled the RAZR HD/MAXX HD. Hopefully HTC does it much better.
Either way, installing Snapdragon Battery Guru should help.

There's plenty of good write ups, including by people here, that say there was absolutely zero slowdown on the device with power saver enabled and that's with the cpu option being throttled as well.
If it's true that it's now integrated by default then there shouldn't be anything to worry about other than Verizon services running in the background that will drain battery - but you can disable most of them.

- Samsung Galaxy S4 (Verizon) - Work
Although the direct option to toggle doesn't exist, I have noticed that my phone seems to deliver quite a few hours even after I get the warning notification of 14% battery. While it might be moved away from the quick options, I believe the HTC rep was correct. Even upon getting the 5% battery warning, I can still expect at least another hour before I run the risk of my phone dying.
