Powered up and lost my pictures

Hi,

I turned my phone on this morning (my Samsung Stratosphere II) and all of my pictures are gone. Additionally, Each time I turn my phone on all of my app folders disappear and I have to reorganize all my apps. Is there any way for me to get my pictures back? thanks!

Some people have claimed to use various file recovery apps out there like what you would use on your computer after you delete something on your hard drive. I can't comment on the success or fail of these myself.

Otherwise, no once they are gone/deleted/erased from your device there is no way to get them back that I know of. Main reason I frequently off load my pictures to computer or dropbox, etc before something goes wrong and I lose them.

It might be good to check whether the pictures are really gone, or the phone for some reason is just not seeing them. If you have another device you can put the SD card into, such as a computer, try using Explorer to look at the folder called DCIM. Or you could connect the phone to the computer and explore the SD card that way.
