Pre-Ordering Evo through BB/RS Conundrum.

Sooo, let me explain a little bit about my plan. It's $69.99 Everything Talk Family with 700 minutes + $10 for another line. We also have free 300 text messaging on each line. Now I've never had data before, but LITERALLY just yesterday a Sprint Telesales Rep just added unlimited data to my one line for and extra $15 because the other person on the other line is my mom, who realistically wont do ANYTHING concerning data. I told my mom at first that I was gonna switch to my own plan, which would be more expensive with each of us having our individual lines. So she called Sprint and lo and behold I now have unlimited data on my line.

I wanna buy the Evo at Best Buy or Radioshack, cause of the whole no MIR thing, but how does it work exactly, do they say hey, your plan isnt eligible or, when I try and activate it what'll happen?

If you do qualify for a discount best buy will give that to you when you activate the phone, however if you only qualify for the $75, you will only get that off the phone, if you're a premier customer and qualify for the $150 off, you'll get that plus the $100 instant rebate.

oh no I KNOW we're eligible for the $150 upgrade because I've been waiting since September last year for Sprint to get a good phone. I'm really just worried about the data part, Sprint's been much more strict with the whole Plan thing.

It will. The OP will be required to change to an appropriate plan before the phone can be activated.
