PreCentral: Are you planning to switch away from webOS?

Uhh, was your link supposed to go to the poll? Cause it links to androidcentral, not precentral.

Needs a new option. I switched phones this weekend, but I am (hopefully) getting two TouchPads from BN. So an option of leaving *and* staying is needed. ;)

I voted Already left. Dumped my POS Pre- June 24th. 25% of people who took poll don't like to have a fully functioning, bug free device...

Android is bug free? Hardly. There's no such thing as a bug free mobile OS out there.

Android has bugs yes, but have you ever sued a Pre? or a Veer? Bugs are a way of life with a webOS device and a mere annoyance on my 3VO, the very few that I get from time to time.

Hey guys my 10-years at Precentral (formaly Palmcentral) and 2000 posts have now come to starting all over again.

Although I'm sad to see WebOS meet this fate, I'm excited to learn about Android and start enjoying all the apps I missed being on WebOS.

I have a new $99 TP coming later this week and I have my eye on the Nexus Prime if it comes out later this year.

Please keep in mind for new people coming over to Androidcentral from Precentral to not bash WebOS. I'm already getting in trouble with peoples feelings over there for suggesting an Android port for the TP.

Anyway I hope to learn a lot and get to know you all.

Thanks,
Deesugar

Welcome to A/C !! I thought I loved webOS until I watched the Engaget interview with Matias Duarte at CES earlier this year. I realized his vision of what a UI should be is what I loved. That's why I'm here.

Enjoyed your insightful posts over the last 2 years BTW :D Check out the *Getting Started*(by Milo) button at the top left of each page.

I came here the same route. After the HP debacle I couldn't stand it anymore. I went to Verizon and had a Thunderbolt two hours later. After using it for a few days, I have to say, I'm blown away. It's no big deal learning how to navigate a different OS, but the additional capabilities are amazing.
WebOS was/is a sad case of unrealized potential. I don't think it was ever optimized the way it should have been, which made it slow. The hardware sucked, at best, and the app selection was always anemic.
I decided that this time I wasn't going to settle for an underdog, and it's nice having so much more available with Android.

There were definitely times when I wanted to sue my Pre.

I loved my Pre, but began getting mad when they wouldn't tell which providers they were going to release on & Sprint didn't even look to be an option.

Finally my Pre started dropping txts both in & outbound. That was the straw that broke that camel's back.

I picked up the Evo3d the 1st day it came out & have thoroughly enjoyed features that were promised on Pre, but never delivered.

I would not say never go with the under dog. Android was the underdog once. Now it is #1. Unless you ask rabid Apple fans who count every iPhone ever sold, every model, against individual makes and models on Android phones. But for some reason IOS vs Android doesn't count.

Right now,.I would say Windows phone 7 is the under dog. Like.Web OS, it has lots of potential. Everyone I know with one loves it, both if them. The xbox live and zune integration is awesome.

Maybe in a few years after my contact its up, I might get one. But for now, loving me EVO 3D. Except my wife yelling "that's 3D gold!" all the time now. That is another post.

I already did!

I miss WebOS. Its just to bad HP screwed WebOS up.

HP had the money...

HP had the scale...

HP still had one issue...

HP didn't know how to use it's scale....
