Predictions for OEM support and updates

Now that the Android Auto application has been released to Google Play, when does everyone think, if ever, car manufacturers will begin updating their compatible systems to allow Android Auto support?

I've emailed pioneer here in Australia and they won't be updating the unit that I have which was their flagship until these new units are released. Really disappointed considering I paid $1200 for it and the new units they're releasing are identical to mine but have just added android auto and apple carplay.
