Is the Verizon version available to pre-order from Best Buy and if so what would be the difference from getting it from there and Verizon directly? Also when are you actually charged for the phone?

Yes it is, and they have much better insurance, overall are nicer, and have a better return policy

None. In fact, they won't even charge you an early extra ETF on top of what Verizon charges. Some third party places will charge you an early termination fee on top of Verizon's $350.00.

And 30 day return policy (on the phone, 14 on the contract) as opposed to 14 from VZW.
