Preset Reset

I'm coming from a Pre- and had an app called Preset Reset where it automatically would power cycle the phone. I see that powering this device off and on is sometimes needed and would like to know if there ia an android version of this. I've looked in the market (sooo much stuff) and haven't seen anything but task killers.

Is there a reboot scheduler which does not require rooting the phone?
Alternately, is there a way to temporarily root the phone, install a reboot scheduler, and unroot the phone?

Some people complain about the photon auto rebooting, I myself have no problems with this phone but an auto reboot here or there would be nice lol. Wifi and data take longer to connect the longer the phone has been on.

Yeah...i'm not too savy yet on rooting yet. I do like this phone though (photon) and will probably get the lapdock. I have noticed after 3 days or so a restart makes the phone snap back to form so to speak. Right now im soo diggin the google music thing. I have over 4000 songs uploaded to it and love being able to bump my old school rap.

Still haven't found a quick fix for this though. Guess i'll start looking into rooting. I guess for now ill keep doing what i've been doing and reboot it when it seems a little slow.
