Press&hold == delete word functionality gone.. ?

I have an Epic Touch (GS2) and am considering switching to the Note2. My wife got a Note2 so I've had plenty of time to mess around with it. The only thing that keeps nagging me is that the Note2 seems to not be able to delete whole words at a time (with slight pauses in between) when pressing and holding down the delete (<-) key like my GS2 does. When I press/hold delete on the Note2 I basically just get a fast key repeat which rapidly starts deleting backwards one *character* at a time...

Same little annoyance here but I can live with out it.
