Press power button, screen turns on and then off again

Anyone else have this happen? I am not sure if it's because my battery is low, but it's plugged in, at 8%.. if I power the screen on, it shuts off real quick.. if I power it on again, it'll shut off again.

if I do this like 2-3 times, it'll eventually stay on for a few minutes, then shut off.

I've never let my Thinkpad drain like this so I'm hoping its a low power issue..

Odd.. I unplugged it, let it throw up the battery low indicator, and plugged it back in and now the screen is staying on.. huh..

I think it has to do with the screen brightness settings. I had the same problem. I may happen to you again. I turned off the auto brightness setting in the system tray area and just set the manual brightness. No problems since.
