Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this phone after almost 2 days of usage, but I'm a little bit concerned about the LG UI. It's a big change from Motorola's, but do you think I'll adjust to it within 10 days (people that have had moto experience)? Also, does this phone have good chances of being updated to the latest, or atleast updated to keep it... up?

UIs are a really personal thing. Something one person loves another may hate. I can't say I have any experience with the Moto UI, but coming from Samsung and Touchwiz I really like the LG UI. I think it's very nice with lots of options to customize to personal taste.

Regarding updates, there's no way to tell, but here's how I'm choosing to look at it right now ...

This was a big phone for LG. You can tell that they put a lot of effort into it, likely to try to gain some market share back from Samsung. As such, I feel like they may use this phone as a platform to try and beat their Korean competitors at every turn, including getting OS updates out faster and cleaner. This is just a gut theory of course, and from what I understand, LG isn't exactly known for their speedy OS updates, but I still remain optimistic.

We shall see.

I think LG put a lot of thought into this phone, even down to the name. I mean think about it, what does everyone know Samsung's flagship as? It's the S4, nobody puts the Galaxy before the S when they say what type of phone they have. So I think LG just decided to simplify it and just go for the letter with the number.

As I said in another thread, with all of the advertising and a phone that has the capability to topple the S series, I think LG is going head on at Samsung.

they are more trying to play catch up with Samsung and there is no way they would topple the galaxy s series

Totally agree. Coming from touchwiz, this UI is much better. It gives you a lot more options to customize, disable, etc.

I have read a lot of posts on Android and it seems like a lot of people are impressed with the LG phone and are finally adopting it. If google drops the ball with some specs on the Nexus 5, I expect a lot of people to grab this phone. The more people with the phone, hopefully equals better support and updates.

If they keep up what they've done with the G2 and keep hammering with the advertising (oh look another G2 commercial just now) they certainly have the capability as this phone is better than the S4.
