So this is pretty much how the M9 will look coming March 1...what do you guys think?
Official HTC One M9 renders, price, and (almost) full specs allegedly leaked

The new HTC handset offers a 5-inch 1080p display, and is powered by Qualcomm's octa-core, 2.0 GHz Snapdragon 810 processor. The M9 has a 20 MP rear camera with dual LED flash, and what's said to be a 4 MP UltraPixel camera on the front. Furthermore, we have 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, and microSD card support (up to 128 GB). Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7 UI will be on board. BoomSound speakers, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, and LTE connectivity (up to 300 Mbps) are also included. The new One should be 9.61mm thin, while weighing 157.5 grams. What about its battery? Well, this should be a 2900 mAh one.

MobileGeeks has it that HTC will sell the One M9 starting April in Germany, for €749, so we should expect the device to cost around $750 in the US (off contract).

I dunno - they look like barely reworked M8 pics for the front. I think the rear view is probably the only truly leaked look that we've had.

Sent from my Tapatalk 4.9.5 :-D

I wouldnt be surprised if HTC kept the front design of the M8, I mean the only thing they were really changing was the internals and the camera...they had no issues with their original design

As long as they fixed the camera so it's more consistent I'm getting this. M8 was nearly perfect. Can't wait to read the reviews

These are not M9 pics according to @evleaks. I trust that guy on HTC things. Phonearena title of "Official" pictures is just to get people to click. They are saying "Official" pics even though it's from a site called mobilegeeks who ripped it off a german site that had the picture listed as a placeholder. In other words, not the M9. Sad that Phonearena is saying these are "Official" pics when they are clearly not. "Official" to me means they came from HTC.

Like others have said, totally fake. But thanks Smooth. I'll stick with what evleaks says.

What does the EVLEAKS one look like?

Evleaks has come out and said this is not the final design: https://mobile.twitter.com/evleaks/status/569208831961649152

It's just a placeholder posted by some website, and was picked up as the real dead. I don't think it is, evleaks certainly says it's not, Spigen case renders says its not the final design.

It should look somewhat similar to this (device on the left):

HTC will have a big hit if this ends
up being the real deal.

The specs seem underwhelming. No 2K display? Anything about OIS? Wireless charging?

If it doesn't have those features, I won't get it.

I personally think no 2k display is a bonus. Moving to a 1440p screen on a 5" display would have negligible improvement, but use more battery generating the image. Would rather stick to 1080p and save on battery life.

No news on OIS. Of course having that included would be a bonus.

Don't count on wireless charging. Being a full metal body, I don't think it plays well with wireless charging.

I kind of agree on this one, but I guess their decision will help with the battery life
The only thing that really appeals to me from the HTC One is the camera, but I'd wanna see sample shots

Why are you looking for a 2K display? Just wondering if there is a particular reason?

It is metal so there will not be wireless charging.

I'm actually fine with these designs (especially the black model) but where is the 5.5" version? Right now, I could care less about a new 5" smartphone. I've had my S5, which is 5.1", for almost a year and I'm ready to move to something bigger. I wasn't really looking at the S6 (unless Samsung releases a 5.5" version of that) but I was really hoping for a 5.5" M9. The only render I've come across for that one is from Evleaks and those were confirmed as being fake.

I think renders are so bogus that one has to be joking to imply they're real...even in the slightest. My main curiosity now is the source of the display panel, rather than its resolution. I wonder if it's an IGZO.

Actually the new 810 chip allows for wireless charging even with metal phones. I read about it but I can't find the link.

I don't think it's the chip that is the problem. I think it's the metal that doesn't play well with wireless charging.
