Question Prevent Auto "More light"/Night Sight

In Photo Settings -> More Light, which is a recent setting, it seems to automatically set to Auto sometimes, as I recall leaving it Off yet I find it has turned to Auto when snapping a pic and it uses Night Sight. This is an issue because sometimes I want to snap a pic quickly to catch something, but Night Sight delays the image capture. On at least one occasion this resulted in missing what I was attempting to capture. It was just slightly dim in the room, not dark, so I know that a non-Night-Sight shot would've sufficed. Is there a way to prevent Auto More Light coming on unless I switch it on manually? Pixel phone.

Now you don't say specifically which pixel you have but this doesn't say starting with the... Or beginning in... Sooooo, maybe.
