I logged into my verizon wireless account as i'm eligble to upgrade as of today. I look at the rezound and it says 269.99. did it already drop in price or is that a special web price

also anyone else coming from a non-lte smart phone and albe to keep thier unlimited plan?

Mine is $249.95 because I'm eligible for upgrade and I get $50 discount for online order. It forces you to switch from unlimited dataplan if you purchase. You need to call 611 first and make them note your account that you will be switched back after purchase and activation. You will just have to call 611 again to have them switch you back.

That is for current VZW customers on the grandfathered unlimited plan.

Didn't force me to change my data plan. Seamlessly switched from 3G to 4G at no cost....$29.95 unlimited data.

Hmmm, not sure. I went to the site a couple of days ago to upgrade and it was going to force me to upgrade from unlimited. Maybe they changed the website? will check online again and see what happens. But...my unlimited is 44.95 a month, not 29.95. Something is amiss.

Yep when I checked my unlimited is 44.95, not sure why yours is only 29.95.

EDIT: well got an answer on the chat line. Evidently the extra $15 is because I used a Blackberry which uses BES for Exchange email. Now that I'm switching to Android, which does not use BES, I can't drop or change the unlimited plan I have or I lose it, so basically I have to continue to pay that $15 extra per month forever. Guess I shouldn't complain, it's still cheaper that the 20GB plan at $100 eeeeek.

I paid 199.99 for the rezound. Not sure what the discount was but I didn't press the issue as I was happy with the price. I bought mine in a corporate store.

Try calling and be very nice but just ask them if you can switch from the 44.99 BB plan to the 29.99 plan since you had unlimited with your BB and will no longer need BES services. It won't hurt to ask.

By the way, you can easily get exchange services for free on android by purchasing an app called Touchdown or by downloading the Amazon Free App of the Day Enhanced Email

I'm on some kind of discount deal for my data. It charges at $29.99 a month then has a $20 discount deducted from it. A VZW rep called me and offered it last year and I thought it was a scam, decided to play along and get their info. Turned out VERY real lol.

I am curious how my upgrade to 4G will affect this. One more day until I find out.

Sounds like your New Every 2 $30 discount to me. $299.99 - $30 = $269.99

As has been sated yes you get to keep your plan and unlimited data (see the link in my sig for a detailed explanation).
