Thankfully the times of apps that came out on dumbphones and wanted a monthly fee are a thing of the past. I sure hope it stays that way.

thanks for the reply, im glad its only a one time charge. the evo is going to be my first smart phone and i do not think i could have made a better choice!

If the Evo is your first smart phone, you are definitely in for treat, it will like a life changing experience for you, depending on how much you use your phone ona daily basis. When I switched to my first smart phone (Sprint Touch) I was amazed by all the stuff you can do with them.
