So i just opened up my prime and right at and after initial setup it tells me DW or DL manager stopped working, Now im looking at preinstalled apps and it comes with super user android terminal and rom manager, are these apps supposed to be on here? Please help a tablet noob

Obviously, somebody bought it, rooted it and, when they wanted to return it, they unrooted but forgot to uninstall the all the roots apps. If you don't feel comfortable with it, you should contact the seller ASAP to return or exchange it.

If the device had root apps, but they don't work that means the device isn't rooted.

I bet when you signed in for the first time it pulled down apps from the market that you had on a previous device. I've see that before.

Yeah during the initial boot, if you log into a google profile, it will go to Google Marketplace, still can't think of it as 'play' and download apps from your account history.

Confused me at first too. "Okay let's see what bloatware this thing has, htm Netflix, Adobe, this is good stu... And the forum apps I use... Oh it downloaded all the apps I installed on my phone."

It might be that it did download from my google account apps because my Nook is rooted and had those apps on the version of CM7 i put on it.

But I didn't even see anything that said those apps had downloaded and I had just started it for the first time, I bought it from Best Buy and had it shipped to me, but could it be refurbished and they didn't tell me?

This is the most likely cause. Mine downloaded a boatload of apps on first boot that I had on other devices using the same account..
