I originally got the prime on amazon for $500. I have been turned off by its not so great inconsistent wifi signal so have decided to return it. I then saw the original transformer for 350$ on amazon. I got that and it came with a really dim yellow screen. So now I am returning that.

However I have the option to exchange either of them for a new one at the same price.
The original transformer route saves me about 200$ once you add in the keyboard which I will get for either tablet I end up with. However I will also be able to sell the prime for more. I do plan to replace it with the TF700 when that comes out.

Any advice on which is a better way to go about it. I would get the prime, but I have a feeling that the wifi is just not going to be right. I know a lot of people feel that it is fine, but I have seen no proof that anyone is getting comparable consistency and signal strength compared to an ipad or the orignal transformer. I am tired of dealing with this and sending them back over and over again.

Thanks

I have both and I'm fine with both of them. If I had it to do over, I'd have just bought 2 OGs. I'd probably just get another original and wait for the 700, since that's what you're holding out for. Who knows. The Prime might not be worth anything once the 700 comes out.

Yeah, I agree. To me the TF201 to TF700 is a more meaningful change.
That may sound crazy to some, because i know how much lighter and thinner the TF201 is than the TF101 but honestly, I think the higher resolution will really make tablets much nicer for what I spend most of the time using them for which is reading and video.

So I've decided to just stick to the original since I don't think its worth worrying about the primes various issues.

Thanks for the advice.
