Privacy Screen Protector question.

So I trade in my S23 Ultra for the S24 Ultra because I am addicted to new stuff and it was barely $400 after trade in and specific color choice. I put a privacy screen protector on the phone from the moment it was unboxed.
This protector made the screen look extremely dull. I had the same protector on my S23 Ultra. For a moment I was second guessing my upgrade choice.
When I took the screen protect off, the phone is total different. The privacy protector didn't work well with this new screen.
Anyone else have a screen protector on there phone?

I can't help you. I never use screen protectors.

Protectors change from batch to batch and the screens are different between the two phones too. The color profile was also dulled down on the S24 U but you can oversaturate it again in the settings.
I've used a privacy protector once and hated it. The fact that your old one looked good makes me thing it was actually a bad batch. Those filters by nature will dull the picture which is normal.

So in short, it's normal and expected.

im suspecting the ambient light sensor(lets just say the privacy screen protector is the same in quality and thickness). maybe different sensors from the S23U to S24U and how they read light and so on.

I've never used any screen protector on my S24 Ultra, so I don't know if certain types create issues with the display. I'm satisfied with the display as is.
