Hey guys,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. On the 21st of November my phone downloaded and installed an update and now i can't access or turn on my private mode. It was working before the update but ever since the update, whenever i turn it on use my pattern it gives me an error saying, "Failed to enable private mode. Try again".

I've restarted my device, wiped the cache partition, tried running private mode in Safe Mode yet it still doesn't work.

If anyone else is experiencing the same problems and has found a solution to it, please let me know.

Thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! I've seen that mentioned a few times elsewhere. It's worth contacting Samsung and letting them know about this -- perhaps something with that update caused the glitch, and needs to be patched.

Thank you for the welcome. I did contact Samsung back then and they were not aware of any such problems. I even talked live to their technical support but it didn't work out as well and they ended up telling me to go and get my phone checked by a Samsung engineer so i don't know what else to do now.

Sorry, I'm afraid I'm not sure what else to do short of reinstalling the firmware using Smart Switch or Odin -- but I think that will wipe your data, so if you have files saved in Private Mode that you don't want to lose, that wouldn't be a good solution.
