Pro mod or stock camera

Hi all I'm not very good at adjusting the camera settings etc so I wonderd should I use the pro mode without changing the settings or use the standard camera button as I've rearly got a non blurred pic of my granddaughter without asking her to sit or stand still, which defeats the object of capturing her having fun X
