Problem after factory reset

[Android Central Question]

I did a factory reset of my samsung galaxy s7 because it was not connecing to the wifi (despite all the different things I tried). Now, the phone has loaded after the factory reset and it just keeps saying Checking network ('adding a few finishing touches, this may a take a minute or two') for the last couple hours. i have not been able to get past this introductory screen to be able to access the phone and use it at all. Help, desperate, anyone?
