Problem after going to 4.0.4

Flashed to plain 4.0.4 from 4.0.2 and love it but
Rom manger flash Clockworkmod hangs and titanium backup are denieded superuser access stating no root access
Other apps are granted
Phone says I'm rooted but when I get in recovey mode the choices I make manually don't work just freezes
Others apps work fine

Got clockworkmod working but titanium backup still no go

All is good went back to 4.2.0

All is good went back to 4.2.0

I assume that you went back to 4.0.2 with a nandroid backup so you got the exact state back that you were in. It is a well documented fact that you will need to re-root 4.0.4 when you flash if you flash the unrooted version. It can appear that it is rooted, but in reality it isn't. There is a thread that can you search for to get better instructions on how to do this.

There is a set of 4.0.4 ROMs on rootzwiki that are pre rooted, with various options. I had the same issues as you the first time I rooted, that is, losing root after updating to 4.0.4. However the ROMs on rootzwiki work great. I've had no problems since I flashed one of the pre rooted ROMs from there.
