AC Question

I uploaded the new software to my Samsung Galaxy S8+. I am now getting a notification saying that it is Unable to Use Contacts info and that I need to click on Settings to allow permissions. When I do this, my permission settings are on, yet I still keep getting this notification reminder every couple of minutes.

There are numerous permission settings, does it point to one in particular? Also, did you reboot the phone after the update? That offtimes fixes glitches like this. And, by "software" I'm assuming you mean an OS update and not that you installed an app.

My contacts are randomly being deleted and I have to re-ad their names. I notice it happened to at least 4 contacts in my stock samsung messaging app.

Could you be more specific? What new software? Was it a app update or a firmware/OS update?

Why do people waste their time with updates that downgrade their phones?
They probably don't know it's going to happen. Looking back, I'm almost sure my iPhone 4s ran faster on iOS 7.1.2 than it does on 9.3.5. On the other hand the later version has better features.
