Problem after update

After an automatic update, I've seen some improvements on my phone, like less delay on several things, and some minor problems. The one that bugs me the most is that I no longer get the notes/messages on the top bar, or lock screen. For example, before "Fast charging" or "Cable charging" would appear briefly when I plugged in my phone, but doesn't anymore. I have to swipe down to see that now. (My phone is temperamental about fast charging). Is there any way to fix that?

You need a new cable, charger itself is fine.

Go to "Settings" > "Lock Screen and Security" > click "Notifications on Lock Screen" > see if "All apps" is turned on (or you can turn individual apps on or off based on what you want to show)

Of course, I'm with AT&T - watch, this entire method may be different for other Carriers.

After the security update of yesterday on my Verizon Note 5 I don't have the issues you have. "All apps" is turned on on my phone. And Soylent_Green has good advice about replacing the charging cable. Just make sure the replacement is rated for use with a Qualcomm Fast Charger.

I did find one glitch yesterday when I tried to use Samsung Pay at a store I have used it at before. It seemed to work but gave the cashier a declined notice with something about a PIN number error.
I fixed it by uninstalling the Samsung Pay app on my Note 5 and then re-installing and re-entering and having the Bank automatically re-authorize it.
Seems to be working now.
