problem connecting samsung gs3 to ps3 slim

im trying to stream videos to from my phone to my ps3 but my ps3 does not recognise my fone but we i try it on my old fat ps3 it connects fine but not on my slim why is that?????

Not 100 percent on this, but it might be because the old ps3 had legacy hardware to support ps2 games and had a different video card capable of running those older games and they removed that hardware in the new slim one, which removed backwards compatibility.

Are you trying to use DLNA? Bingo. You probably need to enable sharing on your PS3. My guess is that you did on the old Playstation but haven't yet on your slim.
