I'm using K9 for email instead of the standard email app, I deleted the standard icon and tried to put the small k9 widget down on the bottom of the screen (sorry, don't know the proper name for that part) but I'm not able to do that, what am I missing or do I need to use a different launcher to do that? I put Nova on my 6P, can I put that on the tab too?
Thx

Yes. The stock limit of icons is the issue for the dock. Nova Launcher and the Prime version will function on the Tab S2. I use my Tab in landscape mode with eight apps and the app drawer button in the middle on the dock. The dock functions at the bottom of all screens.

Widgets can not be added to the dock, but can be added to any screen. Only app icons can be placed on the dock.

Icons=app buttons.

Thanks, the K9 app button DOES go down into the dock area but it doesn't have any message notification, that's why I was trying to use the 1x1 widget.

I use TeslaUnread notifier for Nova Launcher. Works fine. Nova Launcher Settings>Unread Count Badges. Scroll to the Provider section at the bottom. It's a pay service, but inexpensive.

So, K9 worked out for you?

Oh, right, I remember putting that on my 6p, thanks.
I'll add Nova tonight.

Do I need to use nova prime to install the other app?

I believe the Prime version is what you'll need in order to get the TeslaUnread app. I use them both on my Tab S2 and Note 4. One charge for all devices.

Ya, the 9.7 s2.
Installed both apps, cool I didn't have to pay for them again.
Can't get the k9 notifications to work and can't get any more than 7 apps in the dock even with the grid set to 12 x 12..?

Got it thanks.
Also I was able to put the 1x1 widget into the dock so now I'm getting the notifications, now I can tinker with all the rest of it.
Thanks for the help.

If you long press on the desktop, you get three options. Wallpaper, Widgets and Settings.
There is a Widget drawer and an app drawer. The app button, center of the dock, allows you do drag shortcuts/icons to anywhere. The Widget drawer (long press the desktop) allows Widgets to be dragged to the desktop.

Ya, I dragged the 1x1 widget to the desktop then dragged it to the dock.
Anyhow, it worked for me.
