problem rooting htc 4g 2.18

i unlook my phone htc 4g with a 2.18 i disconect the phone after i unloook it didnt do the rest of the root thing now i ben tring to root it with htcdev i cant pls help

You can't root through the HTCDev website. Find your phone on this site and find a thread pertaining to rooting your phone specifically. Not sure what phone you have, it just says HTC 4g but find your phone under devices and you'll find the easiest way to root.
