Problem sending messages with BBM

I have a problem with messages on bbm ive been tryna send my mate messages on bbm all day and all ive gotten is a red cross! She says that she is getting the messages and replying back but im not getting them. Ive tried reinstalling the app restarting my phone but nothing seems too be working! Ive even doenloaded bbm to my old phone and im getting the same problem! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Could it be your network?
Try using different wifi.
