Hi,
I have this issue with running audio over Pandora or MLB '10 over WiFi on the EVO. Both apps work perfectly over 3G. However, when I am at home I prefer to run my EVO off my router as it is my understanding that using WiFi is more efficient battery wise than over the 3G network. However, when I'm running either program, while both stream perfectly when the screen is on, as soon as the screen locks the audio stops after a few minutes and for whatever reason neither programs audio caches properly until I turn back on the screen. MLB '10 game game audio just stops completely until I unlock the screen, at which time it works perfectly again until the screen locks. Pandora plays fine until it reaches the next songs at which point it stops in the middle or doesn't even start the next song and just freezes until I unlock the screen.
I'm pretty sure the cause is that despite having my WiFi sleep policy in settings set to never for some reason the EVO is essentially turning off wifi after the screen locks. I've tried removing and readding my home router to the phone and power cycling my router to no avail. I have the Apple Time Capsule Wireless N router. Any help would be great in solving this issue. Thanks.
